The Monarch Crest Crank is the historic fundraiser for the Chaffee County Alliance Against Domestic Abuse (AADA) and 2014 will be the best year yet.  The Crest Crank will be the final day of Salida Bike Fest week which includes days of fun for cyclists of all abilities and their families. This is the Crest Crank’s 16th year and AADA will continue to offer mountain bikers the chance to ride the famed Monarch Crest Trail, as it has since 1998.

Entry remains $75, plus pledges, for the Monarch Crest Trail ride.  On top of this bargain price, we highly encourage you to raise at least the same amount in personal pledges and sponsorships. We also have a sweet Silent Auction after the ride at the Riverside Park Party.

Your entry fee for the adult rides includes the ride, guide, shuttle and of course, our legendary party in Riverside Park after the ride. The top fundraiser bringing in more than $500 of pledges wins a stylish new cruiser bike.

Triple Crown
Register for the Monarch Crest Crank, and get discounted registration fee, $100 ($25 discount) to the Salida Bike Fest Chainless Bike Race and the Banana Belt Mountain Bike Race.

Registration for all three events qualifies you to be a part of the Triple Crown. The Triple Crown winner is determined by the best combined time in the Chainless Bike Race and the Banana Belt Mountain Bike Race and participation in the Monarch Crest Crank (this event is not timed – it is a ride). Winner receives a handcrafted crown from local bike part artist, Will Hodge.

For schedule and details on the Salida BikeFest Chainless Race and Banana Belt Mountain Bike Race visit: http://salidabikefest.com/schedule/

Come join us in the fun and help raise funds to support the important work of AADA. This year the Monarch Crest Trail ride will be on Sunday, September 14, 2014!
